For all development in Mountain View County, you will most likely require a Development Permit and Building Permit prior to starting. These are two separate permit applications that will require the issuance of a Development Permit first.

Development Permit applications can be submitted via Portal under ‘Planning & Development’ on this page.

Building, gas, plumbing, electrical, and private septic permits can be applied for through the ‘Building, Electrical, Gas, Plumbing and Septic Permits’ section of this page. When completing the Portal application, you also need to upload and complete the Permit Authorization Form with your permit application. For form click here.
